Ex-SANNE managing director joins IQ-EQ

IQ-EQ has appointed Cecilia Cheung as managing director, country head, Hong Kong.

Cheung will also serve as a member of IQ-EQ’s Asia executive leadership team.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, Cheung brings an understanding of the alternative assets industry with experience of fund structuring, valuations, internal controls, regulatory, and risk and compliance for private equity, real estate, debt and hedge funds.

Before joining IQ-EQ Cheung served as country head of a Hong Kong at SANNE.

She has also worked as the head of fund administration at Elian Global, responsible for the delivery of fund administration services across their Asia business.

Commenting on her appointment, Cheung said: “I am honoured to join IQ-EQ and be trusted to lead the Hong Kong team to deliver innovative alternatives, corporate and private client solutions, and expand our capabilities and service offerings to our global network of clients.”

She added: “It is an exciting time for the group and I am delighted to be part of this journey and in particular to play an active role in growing our continued expansion phase not just in Hong Kong but across the whole Asia jurisdiction.”
